Welcome to the Moonrise Pathways, PLLC website (“Site”). By using this Site or engaging in our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf.
1. Services & Ownership
This Site is owned and operated by Amanda Kenney, LCSW, owner of Moonrise Pathways, PLLC. We provide individual telehealth therapy services to teens (12+) and adults who are residents of, and physically located in, North Carolina.
The information on this Site is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical or mental health advice. Accessing this Site or contacting Amanda Kenney through this Site does not create a therapist-client relationship. A professional relationship is only established after a signed Informed Consent and an initial intake session.
2. Website Conduct & Use
By accessing this Site, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes. You are strictly prohibited from:
Content Theft: Copying, republishing, or duplicating any text, layout, or imagery from this Site without express written consent from Amanda Kenney.
Prohibited Communication: Using contact forms or email addresses listed on this Site for spam, harassment, self-promotion, or advertising of any kind.
Malicious Activity: Attempting to interfere with the Site’s security or using the Site to distribute viruses or harmful software.
3. Eligibility & Consent
Services are available to residents of North Carolina. While Moonrise Pathways provides therapy for individuals aged 12 and older, all legal agreement, including these Terms and Conditions and clinical intake paperwork, must be signed by a person 18 years of age or older.
4. Telehealth Platforms & Technology
To maintain your privacy and comply with HIPAA standards, Moonrise Pathways utilizes the following technology:
Electronic Health Record (EHR): We use Sessions Health for secure document storage, scheduling, and administrative records. Sessions Health is used for administrative purposes only and is not used for video sessions.
Telehealth Sessions: Video sessions are conducted via HIPAA-compliant platforms such as Spruce Health or Psychology Today.
Phone Communication: All clinical phone calls and text messaging are conducted via the secure Spruce Health app.
5. Third-Party Billing & Insurance
For clients utilizing insurance benefits, Moonrise Pathways may partner with third-party billing and credentialing platforms to manage insurance claims and payment processing. By using your insurance, you acknowledge that limited protected health information (such as your name, date of birth, and diagnosis) will be shared with these secure, HIPAA-compliant partners for the purpose of billing and documentation.
6. Appointments & Cancellations
Moonrise Pathways requires at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment time for all cancellations. Failure to provide 24 hours' notice will result in a late cancellation fee of $65 charged to the card on file. Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-canceled sessions.
7. Crisis Disclaimer
Moonrise Pathways, PLLC does not provide 24/7 crisis or emergency services. For community resources and options for immediate support, please visit our Crisis Resources Page or call/text 988. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.
8. Limitation of Liability
Amanda Kenney, LCSW and Moonrise Pathways, PLLC are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this Site or the technology used to provide telehealth services. The Site and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
