Sometimes strength is rest.

Sometimes real strength isn’t continuing to push through, but allowing yourself to slow down or even stop.

It’s not always striving to show how much you can carry or how much you can do.

Sure, we may need to dig deep to find our way through challenging moments, but letting ourselves have the time to catch our breath and recover also takes power and courage.

It’s not weakness to recognize when something is too heavy, to listen to what our body needs, and/or to recharge and recuperate.

You can be motivated, committed, and disciplined, not only in what you do, but also in what you don’t.

Resting can take a different kind of strength, but it allows us to come back stronger. (Even if ‘coming back stronger’ means coming back in a different way than before).

Taking care of yourself isn’t weakness, nor is it selfish. Remember to rest and pour back into yourself!

Revised version of a caption on a post I made today. Decided to leave it short and to the point, even though I could probably say a whole lot more!!
